Russia’s Rhetoric include Military Bloggers

Sergey Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister, indicated that the Kremlin would continue to seek a military solution to the conflict until the Ukrainian government concedes to Russia’s demands. Due to its aggressive activities in Ukraine and elsewhere, Russia cannot negotiate any accords with the West, according to Lavrov. The Kremlin is likely to continue focusing its frustrations on the West and ignoring Ukraine as a sovereign state in favor of continuing media operations that aim to convince the West to provide premature concessions and exert pressure on Ukraine to bargain. Probably in an attempt to restore narrative dominance in the media realm, the Kremlin is increasingly including select military bloggers into its information efforts. In addition, the Kremlin has expanded its attempts to coopt renowned military bloggers by granting them positions of influence, allowing them to accentuate certain components of official propaganda. The integration of certain notable military bloggers’ voices into the Kremlin’s communication arena might be very beneficial, but Putin is unlikely to employ the whole community.
